Abstract

This paper analyzes the oversight function of the committees of the Chamber of Deputies. Also tries to determine the influence of the committees in the parliament institutionalization. The author divides the elements of a strong committee system in three groups: institutional structure, powers and political factors. The paper study each one of these categories with the support of data and of the Comparative Law.
